Radical Suicidal Care
June 24th
4pm-6pm pst
Live online virtual training
$85
This presentation focuses on trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and anti-carceral approaches to working with suicidal clients and providing suicidal care as a mental health professional. The presentation will focus on learning the impact of suicidal care such as involuntary hospitalizations, inpatient and outpatient treatment centers and programs, safety plans and crisis response efforts on client’s overall well being. It will provide new tools, resources and guides on how to navigate suicidal care to ensure the safest outcome for clients, especially those who are oppressed by larger systems and structures within our healthcare system. In tandem with that, participants will also engage in exercises, tools and resources on how to de-center their discomfort around suicide to make sure that their decisions in their own distress (fear of liability, our own wounds, etc.) don’t negatively impact or harm their suicidal clients.

Nervous System
July 17th

Live online virtual training
This presentation focuses on providing clinicians and mental health providers with an overview and understanding neurodivergence in the context of trauma informed care and nervous system function. It will explore such evidence-based practices such as poly vagal theory, safe and sound protocol listening therapy, and other nervous system based techniques to help clients achieve better nervous system regulation and symptom reduction. This presentation will also invite participants to examine neuronormative structures/systems and how they intentionally or unintentionally cause harm to neurodivergent clients, paying special focus to individuals with intersectionalities in other marginalized communities.
